The Common Core Basic Education (CCBE) offers adults courses from different subject areas (e.g., Working life, Personal development, Language, etc.) Language courses belong to three main levels: Literacy services, Presecondary, and Secondary Cycle One courses.

   CCBE courses were designed to help adult learners upgrade their language skills so they can become productive members of society. Real-life learning situations are the contexts used to develop four broad areas of learning: Health and Well-being, Environmental and Consumer Awareness, the World of Work, and Citizenship.
